New Worship Song from Daniel 7 & Revelation 5
Awhile back I was reading in my Bible from Daniel chapter 7, where Daniel is describing a vision of the throne of God. He saw “the Ancient One” sitting down to judge, and “millions of angels ministered to him; many millions stood to attend him” (verse 10). What an amazing sight.
In Revelation 5:11, John also describes the throne of God from a vision: “Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne.”
This new worship song was inspired by those scenes from Scripture.
Here are the lyrics:
Millions of Angels
Verse 1
I have never seen
Millions of angels
Standing in Your presence Lord
I have never heard
Millions of angels
Singing for Your holy Name
Chorus
They sing hallelujah, they sing hallelujah
They sing hallelujah, to You Lord
Verse 2
One day I will see
Millions of angels
Standing in Your presence Lord
One day I will hear
Millions of angels
Singing for Your holy Name
Chorus
They sing hallelujah, they sing hallelujah
They sing hallelujah, to You Lord
Chorus 2
I’ll sing hallelujah, I’ll sing hallelujah
I’ll sing hallelujah, to You Lord
Chorus 3
I’ll stand before You, I’ll kneel before You
I’ll fall before You, oh Lord

The Scriptures Behind the Songs
Here are the Scripture passages that inspired this song:
Daniel 7:9-10
“I watched as thrones were put in place and the Ancient One sat down to judge. His clothing was as white as snow, his hair like purest wool. He sat on a fiery throne with wheels of blazing fire, and a river of fire was pouring out, flowing from his presence. Millions of angels ministered to him; many millions stood to attend him. Then the court began its session, and the books were opened.”
Revelation 5:11-12
“Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders. And they sang in a mighty chorus: ‘Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered — to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.'”
Conclusion
It’s hard to imagine what “many millions of angels” looks like, but one day I’ll know. Will you be there too? I’d love to see you there.
Christianity is the only world religion that teaches grace – salvation as a gift of God through Jesus Christ – as the path to peace. What a priceless gift.
